Plan - combining
Two, three or four days: which trips go together
Many guests book more than one day with us, and the order matters. Two hard treks back to back leave legs that do not enjoy the second one; two days in the far south repeat the same drive. These are the combinations our guides suggest when asked. They are ideas for planning, not packages for sale.

Before the suggestions: how booking works
Each tour on this page is booked and paid for separately, and each is a private day: only you and the people you travel with, with your own guide. We do not sell multi-day packages and there is no package price.
You can ask about several days in one message, and we reply with one quote per tour. Each is paid in full at confirmation, and each follows the same cancellation terms on its own: more than 48 hours before the start, a full refund less any card fee; 48 to 24 hours, 50%; under 24 hours or a no-show, no refund; if we cancel for weather or safety, a full refund or another day.
Three rules we use
- Never two hard days back to back. Trek & Heal (4 of 5) and Tien Son Peak (3.5 of 5) should have at least one easier day between them.
- Alternate forest and sea. A boat or road day after a trek rests the legs without wasting the day.
- Keep the sea day movable. Sea trips are cancelled when the sea is unsafe. Put the sea day early, with room after it to move.
A fourth rule follows from geography. The An Thoi islands trip and the Hon Thom cable car both start from An Thoi harbour in the south. If you choose one, you have seen the harbour and the archipelago; choosing both is possible, but it repeats the drive.
Two days on the island
With two days, take one forest day and one sea or road day. The forest is what this site is about; the sea is what the island is famous for.
| If you want | Day 1 | Day 2 |
|---|---|---|
| Culture and an easy pace | Healing Forest | South heritage day |
| One real climb and the sea | Tien Son Peak | An Thoi islands by canoe |
| The full trek | An Thoi islands or Hon Thom | Trek & Heal |
| Children under 12 | Suoi May stream day | North island and kayak |
In the full-trek pair, the sea day comes first on purpose: if the sea is unsafe on day one, the trek can still go ahead on day two, and you can ask to move the sea trip rather than lose it.
Three days on the island
Three days allow a rhythm of forest, sea, forest, or forest, sea, road. Keep the hardest day in the middle or at the end, with a rest day before it.
| Style | Day 1 | Day 2 | Day 3 |
|---|---|---|---|
| Active | Tien Son Peak | An Thoi islands by canoe | Trek & Heal |
| Mixed | Healing Forest | Hon Thom cable car and islands | North island and kayak |
| Family, children 6+ | Suoi May stream day | South heritage day | Healing Forest |
| Gentle | Healing Forest, short version | North island and kayak | Sunset beach camp |
In the active plan, the canoe day between the two treks is the rest. If the sea is unsafe that day, swap it for the north island and kayak day rather than moving a trek into its place. A family with children under 10 should watch the heritage day: the prison museum has sometimes graphic reconstructions, and parents may want to look first.
Four days on the island
Four days give enough room for one forest day of each kind and a sea day, with an evening on top.
| Style | Day 1 | Day 2 | Day 3 | Day 4 |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Active | An Thoi islands | Tien Son Peak | North island and kayak | Trek & Heal |
| Mixed | Healing Forest | Hon Thom | Suoi May stream day | South heritage day |
| Forest-led | Suoi May stream day | Tien Son Peak | South heritage day | Trek & Heal |
The active plan places the two hard days on days two and four, with a kayak day between. The forest-led plan does the same with the heritage day. None of them puts Trek & Heal first, because it is easier to judge your fitness for the heaviest day after one lighter forest day.
Fitting in the evening options
Two of our tours happen late in the day. The sunset beach camp runs from about 15:00 to 21:00, so it replaces a full day rather than adding to one. Pair it with a morning at leisure, and do not book it on the same day as any full-day trip.
The night forest walk is about three hours, roughly 18:30 to 21:30. It fits after a half day such as the north island and kayak day, which ends around 15:00, or on a free day. We do not suggest it on the evening of Trek & Heal or Tien Son: tired legs and a dark path are a poor match. Its price is on request, and its route is named in writing in your quote.
Pick-ups and where you stay
Hotel pick-up is included in Duong Dong, Ong Lang and Bai Truong (Long Beach). Hotels in the south around An Thoi and in the far north carry a supplement, quoted with each tour. If you are staying outside the free zone for several days, the supplement applies to each tour separately, so it is worth knowing before you choose how many days to book.
If you change hotel during your stay, tell us which hotel applies to which date. The quote for each day uses the right pick-up.

Common questions
Questions travellers ask most
Do you sell multi-day packages?
No. Every tour is a private day trip, booked and paid for separately. The combinations on this page are suggestions to help you plan, not packages.
Can I do Trek & Heal and Tien Son Peak on consecutive days?
We advise against it. Put at least one easier day, such as a sea or road day, between them.
What happens to the rest of my days if a sea trip is cancelled?
Nothing changes for the other tours. Only the cancelled sea trip is refunded in full or moved to another day, because each tour is booked on its own.
