"From" prices are references per person. The price you pay is quoted for your request once we know your group size, date and hotel area; larger groups pay less per person. Where a tour says "group of 2", the reference is for a private group of two. The pricing page explains how each figure was set.
Where the age column says "tell us ages", no minimum is set in the tour description; give us the ages of any children in your request and the guide plans the day around them.
How hard is "activity 4"?
The scale runs from 1 to 5 and means the same thing on every page:
- 1 - anyone can do it: a car, a boat, short walks on flat ground.
- 2 - light walking under 3 km, though on forest floor and stream rocks rather than pavement.
- 3 - 3 to 6 km with some climbing.
- 4 - 7 to 10 km with climbs. You need to be someone who walks regularly.
- 5 - hard mountain or multi-day trekking. None of the tours here is a 5.
Tien Son sits at 3.5 because the distance is moderate but the second half is steep, with boulder scrambling and a dark cave. The north island day is 1.5 because of the paddling. Trek & Heal is the only 4: about 5.5 hours of real effort, the heaviest day on the site.
Picking a forest day
- Easiest: Suoi May stream day - a short, easy walk to rock pools, swimming and a BBQ lunch cooked in the forest by the guide team. Not a trek, and not meant to be one.
- Easy, with the most to learn: Healing Forest - 2-3 km at a slow pace, identifying wild medicinal plants, then a pepper or bee farm and an afternoon at a herbal farm.
- After dark: Night forest walk - about three hours with red-filtered torches. Priced on request, and only on routes where walking at night is permitted.
- A real climb: Tien Son Peak and Bat Cave - about 3 km of forest trail to the cave, about 2 km more to a viewpoint at about 280 m, and a stream swim afterwards.
- The long one: Trek & Heal - about 7-10 km along Suoi Tien stream and over the ridge, then a herbal foot soak.
The forest treks page puts the five in order with a season chart, and choosing a trek helps if you are not sure which level you are.
Picking a sea day
All three sea days are activity level 1, so the choice is about what you want from the water. An Thoi islands by canoe is the snorkelling day: a private canoe to three islands chosen on the morning by sea conditions, with masks and life jackets on board. Hon Thom cable car and islands adds the long cable car over the sea, beach time on Hon Thom and a canoe to one or two nearby islands. Sunset beach camp is an afternoon and evening on a quiet beach with a BBQ dinner, back at your hotel by about 21:00.
If anyone in your group gets seasick, think twice about the canoe days: a speedboat in a chop is not gentle. The sea and islands page compares the three in more detail.
Picking a road day
North island and Cua Can kayak is calm river water, mangroves, fishing boats and Starfish beach. South island heritage day is history first: the wartime prison camp at Phu Quoc Prison, now a museum, then Ho Quoc Pagoda and a swim at Sao Beach. The prison museum includes some graphic reconstructions, which matters if you travel with children. Both are covered on the island days page.
Children and older travellers
- Young children: Suoi May welcomes children with adults, who supervise them in the water. Tell us their ages so the guide picks the swimming spot.
- From 6: Healing Forest, if the child can manage 2-3 km on uneven ground.
- From 10: the night forest walk.
- From 12: Tien Son and Trek & Heal.
- Older travellers: Healing Forest suits anyone who can walk 2-3 km and is steady on wet rock. The sea and road days are all level 1 or 1.5.
Pick-up and start times
Every tour starts with a hotel pick-up. It is included in Duong Dong, Ong Lang and Bai Truong (Long Beach). Hotels in the south around An Thoi and in the far north carry a supplement, quoted with the price. Start times run from 07:00 for Trek & Heal to about 15:00 for the beach camp, and the night walk begins in the evening. The exact time is in your confirmation.

Common questions
Questions travellers ask most
Can we book two or three tours for the same trip?
Yes. Send one request listing the tours and dates, and we quote and confirm them together before you pay anything.
Avoid two long days back to back if one of them is Trek & Heal or Tien Son.
Which tour is the easiest?
The sea days and the south island heritage day are activity level 1. In the forest, Suoi May and Healing Forest are level 2, with short walks at an easy pace.
Do you run tours for one person?
Groups start at two. A single traveller can ask, and we will tell you honestly what is possible and what it would cost.
Do tours run every day?
Tours run on request rather than on a fixed calendar. Send your date and we check the guide, and the boat on sea days, before quoting.
