How to reach us

Email and the enquiry form reach the same inbox. We work on island time, GMT+7, so a message sent in the evening in Europe or the Americas usually arrives here during the night or early morning, and the answer follows in our working day.

We do not take bookings by phone. Writing it down means the dates, names and numbers in your quote are the ones you gave us, and you have them in writing.

What to put in a first message

  1. Which tour, or two. Or what kind of day you are after - forest, sea, family, a real workout - if you are not sure.
  2. The date, and a second date if you have one. Sea and forest days both depend on the weather.
  3. How many of you, with the ages of any children. Price per person depends on group size, and several tours have a minimum age.
  4. Where you are staying, or at least the area. Pick-up is included in Duong Dong, Ong Lang and Bai Truong (Long Beach); the south around An Thoi and the far north carry a supplement.
  5. Fitness and health notes. How much the group walks, knee or heart problems, pregnancy, and anything that matters for the herbal foot soak.

With those five we can quote in one reply rather than three. If you are choosing a forest day, the choosing a trek page helps you answer the fitness question honestly.

What happens after you write

Our reply is a quote for each tour you asked about. It gives the price for your group size, the start and finish times, the route or the places for that date, the pick-up supplement if your hotel is outside the free zone, and what is and is not included. Where a page on this site says something is confirmed in your quote - a trek distance, a farm, which islands, which beach - this is where it is confirmed.

If the quote suits you, you confirm and pay in full, and the date is then held for your group. If it does not, reply with what you would change: a shorter route, a different day, fewer stops. Nothing is charged until you confirm. The how to book page walks through the steps.

Writing for a family or a group of friends? One message from the organiser is enough. Give us the ages and walking habits of everyone coming, not just your own, because a private day moves at the pace of its slowest walker.

Health notes we ask for, and why

We ask so the guide plans the right day, not to judge. Trek & Heal is not for heart conditions, weak knees or pregnancy. Tien Son involves boulder scrambling and a dark cave the group can skip. On the herbal days, tell us if anyone is pregnant, diabetic with foot complications, has open wounds on the feet or severe varicose veins, so the practitioner can advise before the foot soak.

For the stream day, tell us the children's ages so the guide plans the swimming spot. For the night walk, tell us if anyone is uneasy in the dark.

Before you pay anything

Check before you pay

We only ask for payment after confirming your date, through a card payment link or to the bank account named on your confirmation. We never change the account at short notice by email or chat. If anything looks different, stop and contact us first using the details on this page.

Payment is 100% at confirmation, with no deposit, and nothing is charged before the date is confirmed. We never ask for passport copies or card numbers by email, and no tour on this site needs either.

Questions we are happy to answer

  • Which forest day suits your group, including children and older travellers.
  • What a stream will look like on your dates, as far as we can tell.
  • Whether two tours fit on consecutive days, and in which order.
  • What is included and what is not, line by line.

If it is about a day out on Phu Quoc, ask. If we do not know, we will say so rather than guess.

If you are already on the island

Write from wherever you are with your hotel, the tour and the date you want. Short notice is sometimes possible, but each private day needs a guide, a vehicle and, for sea days, a boat to be free, so we check before saying yes. The earlier you ask, the more days there are to choose from.

If your plans change after booking, reply to your confirmation as early as you can. The cancellation terms run from the start time: more than 48 hours before, a full refund less any card fee; 48 to 24 hours, 50%; under 24 hours or a no-show, no refund. If we cancel for weather or safety, you choose a full refund or another day.

Common questions

Questions travellers ask most

Do you have a phone line?

No. Email and the enquiry form are the way to reach us, so that everything in your quote is in writing. Once you have booked, the details of the day are in your written confirmation.

What should I include in my first message?

The tour, the date, how many of you and the ages of any children, your hotel area, and any fitness or health notes. With those we can quote in one reply.

Can I ask a question without booking?

Yes. Questions about trails, streams, seasons or what to bring are welcome, booking or not.
